Holiday Playlist – Spread the Holiday Cheer!

Just last week we all gathered around our dining room tables to eat turkey and an excess of mashed potatoes, and this week we’re hanging twinkling lights and singing carols by the fire (Who am I kidding? I live in Queens. I don’t have a fire place!).

You know what that means – the holidays have arrived.

I’ve always felt that perhaps the best part of this time of year is the collective spirit of warmth and goodness that December brings. People laugh and smile more, they get together more often, and they become more charitable.

I can’t stand Christmas you think, It’s too commercial! Just look at Black Friday! Grumble, grumble! And to you, dear Ebenezer, Don’t Panic Mgmt offers up this suggestion.

If you (or someone you know) is having a difficult time getting into the spirit of the season, consider how you might be able to spread a little holiday cheer to others around you. It could be as simple as baking Christmas cookies for your grumpy old landlord (Hi, Carmine!), or something a bit bigger, like donating to a cause that matters to you (we’re big fans of She’s the First at DPM). You’ll find soon enough that one of the best ways to feel the holiday love is to spread it.

To help lift your spirits and get you ready for the most wonderful time of the year, we’ve put together this list of our very favorite seasonal songs. After all, as they say (“they” = Buddy the Elf), the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.
